Update..

Was really busy lately, busy juggling 2 jobs and being a full-time Uni student. Well, while it ain't easy, it was not too bad either. So, please pardon my long absense in the blogging world *then again, I don't think anyone is actally reading this*...So, that would mean I am talking to myself @.@

Never mind that, brief update is that I am working at a community radio station for more than 2 months now, I must say getting to host your own show is quit liberating after you get over the initial shock and panic. The other job is a magazine job, always wanted to work with a publisher...Currently putting writing on a hold, cause I am setting up a blog for them. Let's just say setting up a proper blog is harder then I think, but since there are things to learn means the job will keep me interested for a while. Cheers to that!

Thanks to Nodame Cantabile Win is currently obsess with orchestra pieces... Perhaps back then I was too young to appreciate these pieces, oh the love!

Stravinsky Petrushka...fantastic!

And my current all time favourite Concerto pieces, also one of the 4 greatest concertos...

Wasteland, wonderland?

It's been a while since I get to spend quality not doing homework but relaxing. So, I managed to score a date with Teewai. The inital yum-cha session turned out to be a sleep-over/shopping/yum-cha/shopping ingredients for dessert/choosing a gift for her boy friend. If we had not try to fit so may things into a day, I am sure we would have enjoy the yum-cha session much more.

But yea,I tried on some clothes, bought nothing which was a dissapointment on my part. Nothing seems to look nice for some reason, and the only thing that I feel like buying was a very nice jacket. I held back on the notion I am not even sure if I am staying back, not staying on will render the fantastic jacket useless. It was such a good bargain, what the hell, I should not have let Teewai convinced me to put it on. Not only it looks good, it feels heavenly as well, that damn jacket was the MOST comfortable jacket I have ever tried on.....

Curse you, you damn fantastic jacket!!! Ahh, I don't really like the buttons anyways.

But still after rushing to all cafe pre-planned cafes to visit, which were all closed, we settle for Wasteland instead. A place of good ambience and even better Hot-chocolate. Ahh yes, sipping that warm bitter sweet taste while sitting next to a window, watching as the sky grew darker; yet knowing that I am in no hurry for the train. Such relaxation...the price is even better of course, 3.95 for a good hot chocolate. Very good deal. Though I lament the lost of marshmallows, oh well you can't get everything you want after all. Yes, rest assured I will be visiting Wasteland once more...

This wonderful cup of endorphine booster X3

I love love love the ambience... Shame the camera does not do the lighting any justice.

I'm sure the view is not too bad too: LV and Tiffany & Co.

Cooking tips?!

To be honest, I don't cook that much..In fact I don't have to cook over here at all. But I have to when there are no decent read food laying around some afternoons, or when I am being especially picky of not wanting to eat what was already cook. Yes, yes, I am spoilt rotten by my parents.. My tastebuds have been nurtured since young, eating, tasting and digesting one of the best food hand crafted with love... my mum and dad are good cooks *ah, I am paying you compliments fit for Gods* But yea, I was never under fed when I was young and having been presented with good food most of my life, I have hone my tasting skills to one of the more superior level.

Ok, going out of context here, point is I am not a good cook, a lousy one at that, but I am damn fussy and I am a freaking good food critic. *cough, if I may say so myself*

So yea, having only to cook minimal and simple dishes, I suppose I still have to do my share when I am staying over at a friend's house. So yea, during a short cooking session with Teewai, I have a few facts to jot down as reminder...

Point 1: Do not steam stuff with a thermos bowl, cup. Just don't, cause you can steam whatever it is for a gazillion times, you will only manage to get the top part cooked.

Point 2: If you steam something for more than 2 times and it still ends of uncooked, most likely it's not going to work for the third time either, during these times, the microwave might be quite useful...depending on the dish u are making-lah!

Point 3: Always to remember to add sugar in your pancake mix. Else it would end up tastless or salty....

Point 4: Every kitchen needs a measuring cup. Yes Teewai, Win will go shopping for you while you are not here. No more measuring milk using mineral water bottle...

Point 5: Always beat the eggs evenly first before mixing it with other stuff. I noticed semi beaten eggs will remain semi beaten, no matter how much i continue to beat them after adding them into other mixtures. *this one is my bad*

But all in all, I managed to make my dessert *glee, glee* on my first attempt. Cis, it's a simply dish but still even my mum did not get it right, but I did. *yay me!*

Ahh, will post pics soon...The pics are with TY....

Rain

Australia's Weatherman has been slacking off lately, giving empty hopes and broken promises of rain for the past few weeks. And then, he promised rain again... but this time he guaranteed that there would be rain...

It's Autumn here in Perth, normally by this time, there will be plenty rain fall, people will be don with raincoats and knee high boots. Umbrellas are useless here, no one wants to end of like Marry Poppins *flying in the sky* albeit by the strong winds, not magic...

The sky has been gloomy for the past few days, the promised rain did not come. WA was let down once again... And then it came, with violent gushes of winds and a huge downpour. Ahhh, this one is a late comer, what a way to make an entrance. But no matter, we are all happy to see it come. It's been a month since there is any rain fall in Perth. Welcome home.

For me, I like gloomy days and I like heavy downpours; that is when I am contently sitting in my room watching as rain drops pelt at my window. The sound of rain drops falling seems to calm me for some reason. For one thing, I am warm and safe, not wet and cold. I love rainy seasons when it does not involve me.
